Pure Sandalwood, Kept Sacred Since 1985

Jai Gurudev Upkaran Bhandar is a family sandalwood house from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. We opened our doors in 1985 as a small trading shop. Forty years later, temples and families across India know us for one simple thing: our sandalwood is real.

Our family has always believed that chandan is not just a product to sell. It is a sacred material used in worship, in meditation, and in the last farewell to a loved one. Because of this, we treat purity as a duty, not a marketing line.

Who We Serve

Today we supply pure Mysore sandalwood to more than 500 temples, along with Ayurvedic makers, skincare brands, wholesale traders, and thousands of homes across every state of India. A small pooja order from a devotee gets the same grade of wood that India's most respected temples use every day.

How We Keep It Pure

Lab testing on every batch. Independent labs check our sandalwood with GC-MS testing, which measures the natural santalol content of the wood. A quality certificate travels with every batch.
Legal, ethical sourcing. Our wood comes only from licensed forest authorities and government-regulated traders in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Nothing added, ever. No blending, no dyes, no perfume oils, no fillers. If it is not pure heartwood, we do not sell it.
Clear paperwork. Every order ships with a GST invoice, lab certificate, and full shipping documents. No hidden costs.
